What’s sexy to a woman?

what’s sexy to a womanOf course we’re not all the same. Every woman is a little bit different in what she finds sexy but in many ways we’re very much alike. To most of us the word sexy is a feeling more than a look.

For instance, I have never thought of myself as sexy. When my man wants me.. I mean really wants me, I feel sexy. His words turn me on. For me, it’s rarely about how he looks that brings up the word sexy, it’s all about how I feel about me when I’m with him.

You might be thinking, “yeah, that’s you but what’s sexy to other women?”

I think you’ll find that what’s sexy to me as a woman is sexy to other women too. What’s the genre of book that’s sold more copies than any other to women? Romance novels. Why? Because they’re words and women put themselves into the stories where men make the women FEEL sexy.

In these books men compliment the women, they tell the women they’re wanted. You won’t find a romance novel where a man walks up to a strange woman, flops his dick on the table and tells her that he has a tongue that can lick her all night long.

Why? Because women wouldn’t buy the book. Yet time after time I see men writing that crap in their personal ads day after day. It just doesn’t work. Ok, I lied. It might work one time in 2000 times but why go with such horrible odds?

The books that women buy have words that describe situations that make women feel sexy. The man treats her with respect, he listens to her, he accepts her as his equal.

When women list the qualities they’re looking for in a man, you’ll usually find sexy in the top 10 requirements. A woman knows within minutes whether she feels sexy when she’s with a man. No amount of fancy clothes, wonderful scent or a fancy car can make up for how she feels about herself when she’s with you.

So I’m telling you, if you want a woman to find you sexy, it’s rarely going to be about how you look, the quickness of your tongue, how long you can last in bed or the size of your dick. It’s about how she feels about herself when she’s with you. If she feels sexy, she’s going to go to bed with you. Whether this is a new date or whether this is a woman you’ve been with for 40 years. When she feels sexy in your presence, nature sends the signals to make her want you.

The Graying of the Boomers

The graying of the baby boomersI received an email this week from a SexyAds member who suggested that I do some research on how many men get turned on by women with gray hair. I’m a baby boomer but my genetic makeup hasn’t turned me gray yet so I hadn’t really thought about it much. My sister who’s 3 years older than me started turning gray at 17 and she’s had grey hair for all my adult life. I wouldn’t recognize her if she colored her hair.

So I started looking around. I found a blog by a woman in her 50s who decided to stop coloring her hair and worried that her husband wouldn’t find her attractive. When she told him he told her that he thought she was much sexier with gray hair. He told her that he didn’t think he was alone. She decided to prove him wrong and created two identical profiles on a dating site (not SexyAds). One with gray hair and one with brown. She ran each profile for 3 weeks and counted the number of looks and winks she got. Overwhelmingly in each of the cities she said she was in, her gray hair got nearly twice the looks.

Maybe the guy who wrote to me is on to something.

Look at these sexy baby boomers: Helen Mirren, Jamie Lee Curtis, Anderson Cooper, Bill Clinton – they are all sexy looking people and not a bit of color on any of them. So I started looking around for even more information. There’s a website that’s nothing but photos of gray haired women. I looked and looked and then decided, “that’s it.. when the big gray comes to me, I’m embracing it.” My friends will tell me I’m nuts but in the US Alone there are 70 million people over 70. Imagine how much we’d all save if we didn’t color?

Once we all go gray, then gray will be considered mainstream sexy too. What about you? Will you fight the gray til the day you die? Will going gray for a woman feel like the male equivalent of shaving it all and going bald?
