My apologies
I’ve been away for a week. I took my daughter who’s visiting from Florida to Rotorua to see Maori shows, boiling mud pools and geysers and then traveled to see the glow worms in the caves at Waitomo. We ended up in Auckland and that’s where the gallstones acted up and I’ve been in the hospital ever since. They’ve given me a day pass and I used it to come home and spend the night in my own bed.
I’m sick of no food or drink and I’m dreading the procedures next week. Think good thoughts that everything will go smoothly, ok? Thanks. If any of you have left comments and wondered where they went.. I am just getting to them now.

All this talk of New Zealand makes me want to go back and for a real vacation this time. I was there for business about 4 years ago and I know there are tons of things I didn’t get to see. Queenstown on the south island was beautiful, but I would have liked a chance to explore the countryside more. The beautiful beaches are beckoning me.
The boiling mud pools sound awesome! I’d love to see them!
Hope everything goes well with your gallstones. I’ve read that a combo of lemon juice and olive oil can help them pass… but I’ve never had them to try it. Of course, that combo sounds disgusting enough to make you sick also…
get well soon!
I’ve heard that too. Apparently I’m supposed to drink organic apple juice for a week and then try the lemon juice and olive oil. I did ask the doctors and they said if I had occasional gallstones it *might* work but since I had all my inny bits inflamed and unhappy I’ve probably waited too long to do that and anything I would do now might make it a lot worse. So I’ll do what they say.
I’m off to return to the hospital in a little while. I’ll be thinking of you!
Oh no, how uncomfortable and miserable. And while on holiday!! Hope you recover quickly.
The boiling mud in that picture looks almost edible. Thought it was chocolate.
You poor baby. I am sorry you have been sick. I know how severe the pain is from that. I have a diseased Gallbladder, but no stones. I know how I feel so you do what they say, even if it takes surgery. I sincerely hope you get better soon.
