Some days…

You really appreciate your health. Unfortunately when you appreciate it most is when you don’t feel so well. That’s where I am today. I had my gall bladder out two weeks ago and I got a staph infection in one of the wounds. When they tell you to wash your hands every 30 seconds, you should listen. Make everyone wash their hands before touching you too.

I’m on the mend but just barely. Sorry I haven’t posted since I went to the hospital.

Sorry to hear that you are unwell; no wonder have not seen you posting for a while. Hope that you get well real soon. As I get older, I am learning to take better care of my health. Like the saying goes, “Prevention is better than cure.”

Wishing you goodness in all aspects of your life.

You poor ol’ thing, I’m sending you some positive healing energy, make sure you catch it, and I hope you’ll be feeling a lot perkier real soon! :-)
You’re right about how we all tend to take good health for granted, until of course it’s under threat. I’m totally guilty of this and have just rejigged my morning routine to include ‘awareness’ moments, i.e. spend some time contemplating my physical and mental health and fitness, being grateful for what’s functioning as it should, as well as considering what I can do to improve things that aren’t. ;-)

You have my sympathy, I had mine out when I was 26 (Wow! just realised that was nearly 30 years ago!) but to get an infection as well is just adding insult to injury! I bet it hurts ‘only when you laugh’ - not! At least they don’t cut you open stem to stern these days, it’s all keyhole surgery isn’t it? Take it easy while you can :-)

Definitely sorry to hear this, I always have problems after surgeries it seems, still have an open incision from my 6/10 hernia surgery.
Take care of yourself, please. We want you healthy and happy.

Hope you feel better soon. I had my hysterectomy 2 years ago, so I know how much surgery wipes you out. Take it easy and give yourself time to recover.

    And, yeah, wash you hands.

Ooh, nasty - you expect to feel better after an operation, not 100 times worse - I hope you feel better soon.
