You stink!
What is it about people who don’t know that they stink? Peee ewwww. I was shopping yesterday and stood behind a woman who was smartly dressed and looked like she had money. Well, her shoes looked expensive and she had a designer handbag and big rocks on her fingers but they might have all been fakes. Anyway, as I always do, I smiled and nodded that funny little hello that you do when you’re standing in the checkout line. And then it hit me. I took a deep breath and this woman smelled so bad that I know tears came out of my eyes. The body odor was enough to knock an elephant down half a mile away.
In this day and age when everyone has a bathtub or shower and soap isn’t too expensive, why would you go around dirty and worse stinky? Smelling natural is one thing but going around smelling like a skunk is too gross for words.
As I stood there waiting for her to pay the money and piss off I thought about her poor husband. She had on a wedding ring so I assume she has a husband. Imagine what it must be like to cuddle up to that? I imagined him with one of those swimmers noseplugs that kids used to wear when I was young. You’d have to want sex awfully bad to get close to someone who smelled that much.
It got my curiosity piqued so much that I did some searching on the net and indeed there are some conditions that make people smell bad when they are not dirty. So I’m going to think that Miss Stinky has a condition that renders her smelly and that as we speak she’s getting treatment. If it were me, I’d stay home and save the world.
she must have skipped bath for many days now and probably ran out of deodorant too… I would have fainted :p
What’s that awful smell?!
People are sometimes stinky. And they don’t mind it that way. But do you see people wouldn’t want to get close to you if you smell bad. How about you, do want to be with someone smelling awful?
In some parts of Africa it is believed that when you are not given a proper “first bath” at birth it causes you to have a strange body odour throughout your life. could be the reason.
I would like to think that she has a condition that she can’t really help it
I was on an airplane next to one of these once….oh man…it was horrible. I think she might have been ill because she got up a lot…I’m assuming to use the restroom, but the smell was putrid….nauseating. I really thought I might vomit it was so terrible. I’m gagging just remembering it…

This is really funny. It’s nice of you to give her the benefit of the doubt but even with those conditions (allergy could be one) that make people give off some strange smell, they should be able to manage the problem. Besides, they don’t really smell stinky. Just strange. Some people just don’t really care about hygiene and they don’t mind what others think of them.
Not to make excuses for her, but often the older ladies splash on all kinds of Jean Nate and stuff and they don’t realize how bad they smell. Their sense of smell fails with age I think.

It is shocking sometimes how bad people can smell, I cannot imagine how they feel comfortable with themselves to be going out in public not having bathed for so long!

I would have to say that this read and your blog is great! I watched a segment on television last year about odors that people cannot get rid of no matter what they do. Do not remember the name of the condition but I was sadden by it. Not dirty or anything just a scent coming from their body no matter how many showers they took.

one day, i went out shopping with my boyfriend…then when we were looking for some stuff to buy…. he simply said in a loud voice…something smells terribly bad….and i was liked smelling my armpit and his armpit….but that terrible odor didn’t came from us….so it was the woman who passed by near us….and that woman is also married….i pity their partners….
You are funny. I saw a girl who looked like a model out a club one night. She came in with a man. When they walked by I almost fainted from the funk. I thought for sure it was him, but when they separated the smell was still there. It was her! She stank like a stinky man. I couldn’t believe it. still can’t really. How was that guy walking with her so proud. I thought they must both be blasted.
